Vehicle batteries can be taken to Merimbula Community Recycling Centre for free disposal.
EV (electric vehicle) batteries are NOT accepted at Waste and Recycling Centres - contact your vehicle manufacturer for appropriate disposal options.
Vehicle batteries contain hazardous material and should NOT be placed in your landfill, FOGO or recycling bins.
When purchasing a new vehicle battery, you can also ask the supplier to dispose of it for you - these batteries will be appropriately recycled from the supplier.
