Hearing aid batteries can be taken to the Merimbula Waste and Recycling Centre for disposal in the Community Recycling Centre (CRC), to the Mobile CRC, or to a Community Recycling Station (CRS) at any Council Library (no lithium batteries can be accepted at the Libraries), where they are sent away for recycling at specialised facilities.
They CANNOT be placed in your landfill, recycling or FOGO bins. The national B-Cycle battery recycling scheme also has recycling points at most major supermarkets and hardware stores.
