Laptops and other e-waste can be taken to Merimbula Waste and Recycling Centre for specialised recycling (fees apply).
Electronic waste is anything that runs off a power cord or a battery and includes: computers, monitors, keyboards, scanners, printers, phones, mobile phones, TV's, DVD/CD players, game consoles, any small household appliance.
You can also donate your old laptops (less than 10 years old) to charitable organisation The Reconnect Project, where it is refurbished and passed on to someone in need.
Laptop batteries removed from laptops can be disposed of at the Community Recycling Centre at Merimbula Waste and Recycling Centre.
